![]() Like the aforementioned Fire-type, Elekid is only attainable through either breeding or the Old Egg in Gen II. ![]() There’s not anything that’s all that different from Magby here if we’re talking about ways of catching this cute little tough guy. This time we’re going to be focusing in on Elekid, the baby form for the Gen I Electric-type Electabuzz. ![]() The only other way to acquire a Magby is via the Old Egg in Crystal where it’s one of seven different possible baby forms that can hatch. Aside from its own exclusivity in Gen I, Magmar wasn’t exactly common in Gen II either and could only be caught in the Burned Tower in Gold & Silver and Mt. So the first and most straightforward way to acquire Magby would be to breed Magnar. Like many of the baby forms introduced in Gen II, you can’t find Magby out in the wild. Magby, was a special case in Gen II not only due to its being a baby form, but because you could only really acquire it via breeding – which itself was a new mechanic added into that generation. ![]() This little Fire-type is as adorable as they get, and while it isn’t all that useful in battles, some players might see some worth in investing in it. One of the handfuls of baby Pokémon introduced in Gen II, Magby is the baby form of Magmar – a Pokémon that itself was fairly hard to obtain in its own generation.
